What you get
- Skype for Business Plus CAL: enables incoming and outgoing PSTN calling, emergency calling and other enterprise voice features for on-premises (or partner-hosted) Skype for Business Server deployments, at Microsoft's academic student pricing tier.
Before you buy
Academic pricing requires that the purchasing organization's Microsoft tenant carry verified Education eligibility, confirmed through Microsoft's own eligibility review. Student-priced licenses are for assignment to students only. Per Microsoft, the Plus CAL is additive — users also need Standard (and, for Enterprise features, Enterprise) CALs and a licensed Skype for Business Server. Skype for Business Server 2015 and 2019 reached end of support on October 14, 2025; confirm this SKU is still appropriate before you buy.
