What you get
- Microsoft Teams Phone Resource Account (formerly Teams Phone Standard – Virtual User): a license for resource accounts that enable Teams voice apps — auto attendants and call queues — at the organization level, at Microsoft's academic faculty pricing tier.
Before you buy
Academic pricing requires that the purchasing organization's Microsoft tenant carry verified Education eligibility, confirmed through Microsoft's own eligibility review. Per Microsoft, resource-account licenses are for voice apps only and cannot be assigned to people; a resource account needs a phone number (Calling Plan, Operator Connect or Direct Routing) to take PSTN calls.
