Academic pricing requires that the purchasing organization's Microsoft tenant carry verified Education eligibility, confirmed through Microsoft's own eligibility review. Student-priced licenses are for assignment to students only. Add-on only — each user must already hold Microsoft 365 A3 (or Office 365 A3 with EMS A3); A5 users already have these capabilities.
