What you get

• Additional Microsoft Dataverse file storage capacity, sold in 1GB units, for storing attachments to notes or emails in Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Service, and Field Service applications and Power Apps — documents, images, videos, PDFs, and other files — at Microsoft's academic pricing tier.
• Per Microsoft's own documentation, file capacity is one of three Dataverse storage types (database, file, and log); it is shared across the whole tenant as a subscription entitlement that remains available continuously as long as the underlying licenses stay active.

Before you buy

Academic pricing requires that the purchasing organization's Microsoft tenant carry verified Education eligibility, confirmed through Microsoft's own eligibility review. This add-on only adds capacity on top of the tenant-wide default entitlement that comes from an existing Power Apps, Power Automate, or Dynamics 365 customer engagement app license; it does not include that base license. Per Microsoft, if a tenant exceeds its total database, file, and log capacity, several admin operations are blocked until more capacity is purchased or a temporary 45-day, 25% capacity extension is enabled.
