Azure Virtual Desktop Hybrid [New Commerce Experience]

What you get

• Azure Virtual Desktop Hybrid, confirmed on Microsoft's own techcommunity.microsoft.com announcement as now generally available: lets organizations run Azure Virtual Desktop session hosts on their own on-premises hardware and hypervisor (Hyper-V, VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV, or bare-metal Windows Server), connected to Azure through Azure Arc, while session brokering and the management console stay in Azure. All communication is outbound over HTTPS, so no inbound connectivity is needed.
• Per-user pricing on top of the Windows entitlement the session hosts already need: for Windows 11 single-session hosts, one of Microsoft 365 A3/A5/E3/E5/F3/F5, Windows 11 Enterprise E3/E5, or Windows 11 VDA per user; for Windows Server-based hosts, a Windows Server license plus one of an RDS CAL with active Software Assurance, an RDS User Subscription License, or an RDS SAL per user.

Before you buy

This add-on license does not include the underlying Windows 11 or Windows Server session-host license, nor the on-premises compute, storage, or networking, which remain your responsibility outside Azure. Confirm you already holds (or is purchasing) the matching Windows entitlement above before you buy, since this SKU alone will not let session hosts run.
