What you get

• An AI Builder Capacity add-on adds monthly AI Builder credits (also called service credits) to a Microsoft Power Platform tenant — each unit provides 1,000,000 credits per month, consumed by AI Builder scenarios like forms processing and prediction models at varying rates.
• This is the T3 pricing tier, which requires a minimum purchase of 50 add-on units per order.
• Requires a base license that allows creating a Power Platform environment with Dataverse (Power Apps, Power Automate, or Dynamics 365); this add-on only supplies capacity, not the base app-building license itself.

Before you buy

Important restriction confirmed on Microsoft's own AI Builder licensing documentation: AI Builder Capacity add-ons can now only be purchased as a renewal or true-up by existing customers who already hold this add-on — new customers can no longer buy it and must use Copilot Credits instead to run AI Builder features. Separately, AI Builder credits seeded into Power Platform or Dynamics 365 licenses are being removed in November 2026, after which only purchased AI Builder add-on credits remain active. Confirm the purchasing organization already holds this add-on and can meet the 50-unit minimum before you buy, and consider whether Copilot Credits better fits a new customer's need.
