What you get

• A 500GB storage add-on for Microsoft Purview eDiscovery (Premium), used to bring non-Office 365 content into eDiscovery for analysis — at Microsoft's academic faculty pricing tier.
• Requires an existing eDiscovery (Premium) entitlement — available with Office 365 E5, Microsoft 365 E5, or an Advanced Compliance add-on on a lower base plan; this SKU adds storage capacity, it does not grant eDiscovery feature access on its own.

Before you buy

Academic pricing requires that the purchasing organization's Microsoft tenant carry verified Education eligibility, confirmed through Microsoft's own eligibility review. Note this SKU carries a different Microsoft catalog product/SKU ID than the similarly-named Education Faculty listing elsewhere in our store — confirm with us which is current before you buy. Separately, Microsoft's own eDiscovery limits apply regardless of storage purchased: a single search/export is capped at 2TB, an organization can export a maximum of 2TB per day (reset at 12:00 AM UTC), items upload to the Microsoft-provided Azure Storage location at up to 2GB per hour, and any single mailbox's export larger than 10GB is split across multiple PST files.
