What you get

• Advanced Communications is a per-user Microsoft Teams add-on that originally provided large-meeting/webinar capacity (up to 20,000 attendees), custom-branded meeting lobbies, and policy-based compliance-recording and contact-center API access — at Microsoft's academic faculty pricing tier.
• It requires an existing paid Microsoft 365 or Office 365 education subscription with Teams; it is not bundled into any suite and must be purchased and assigned per user who needs it.

Before you buy

Academic pricing requires that the purchasing organization's Microsoft tenant carry verified Education eligibility, confirmed through Microsoft's own eligibility review. Separately, Microsoft's current Teams add-on licensing documentation no longer lists Advanced Communications among its Teams add-on licenses; the large-meeting/webinar and management capabilities it originally provided are now delivered through Microsoft Teams Premium and other current add-ons such as Attendee Capacity Packs.
